The Pat Rush Medical Assistance Fund was originally created in 2009 to help Kendrick resident Patricia Rush during her battle with leukemia.
Pat was overwhelmed by the support and generosity of the community. She agreed to accept the funds with the stipulation that they be shared with other local families in need.
Thus, the PRMAF was created with a charter to financially assist Kendrick and Juliaetta residents who are facing catastrophic medical issues from either a terminal illness or life-threatening injury causes by a tragic emergency or disease.
Ceramic stars, carefully hand painted with your loved one’s name, and hung on the Pat Rush Medical Assistance Fund Memorial Christmas Tree in Kendrick every year.
Once you have purchased your star, you will be prompted to provide your personalization details and select if you would like to receive an emailed photo of your star.
Your star will be stored with all of the existing stars and hung on the Memorial Tree in Kendrick the very next Christmas.
Restrictions due to the COVID Pandemic have affected all of us one way or another. Not being able to hold our annual and bi-annual fundraisers and events meant no funds coming in to help those in need. It is our desire to continue to help our community’s residents who are facing catastrophic medical issues from either a terminal illness or life-threatening injury caused by a tragic emergency or disease. Without your help this will not be possible.
Please consider either a one-time or recurring monthly donation to show your support. If we could get 100 people to donate just $5 a month what an impact we could make!
“There are people that leave this world as pebbles penetrating the water, creating ripples that disperse quietly into the sea. And then there is Pat, a meteorite of fire and life and vigor and warmth, crashing into this ocean of humanity, leaving waves to travel and expand and erode the shores of distant continents, distant humans that are at once strangers and family.”
